An aircraft en route from London to Chania, Crete, made an emergency landing at Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens on Friday, July 19, carrying 223 passengers.
According to reports from ERT, the plane encountered a hydraulic system malfunction. Fortunately, all passengers on board are reported to be safe following the emergency landing.
The flight was said to be operated by Easyjet, although this has not yet been independently verified by the airline.
This incident occurred in the wake of a global outage caused by a Microsoft technical issue on Friday, which resulted in significant disruptions in air travel, particularly impacting airlines and airports utilizing Microsoft systems.
