EU Disburses 2.3 Billion Euros to Greece as Recovery Efforts Gain Traction

In a significant development for Greece’s economic recovery, the European Commission has approved the disbursement of the fourth payment, totalling 2.3 billion euros under the

Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF). This latest instalment, finalized on June 14, 2024, highlights the EU’s commitment to supporting member states through performance-based funding aimed at advancing critical sectors like green and digital transitions, export capacity, and research and innovation.

The disbursement follows Greece’s successful implementation of its recovery and resilience plan, which the Commission assessed positively.
