He initially stated:
"I want you to know that because many say that the Church does not help, that it merely collects money, etc.
Having visited numerous metropolises and met many distinguished individuals, I believe it's important to recognize that the Church stands out as a unique institution that genuinely offers help to people.
Because most of you young people in here have your faith, love Christ, confess Christ."
He added:
"Just as I do and many of my colleagues. It is our honour to serve both the Church and Christ, and I want to say - as many times as we have said - that the confession of faith in our days is very difficult for many; they are ashamed to make their cross, ashamed to say that they believe.
We are ashamed to say that we are Greeks, that we believe in our homeland, in our family. And if we say, let's say, 'homeland, religion, family', some will consider us anti-democratic, authoritarian, etc."
"I support my religion, my faith, I love it, I confess it.
I love Christ, I love my homeland, and I also love my family," he concluded, thanking those who attended his concert.
