Samos is a paradise for nature lovers and those who dream of exotic beaches.
Swiss travel platform flyedelweiss.com recommends Samos as a “gateway” to discover the islands of the North and East Aegean.
The island of Pythagoras is at the top of the list of “unconventional” destinations without hypertourism, followed by Fourni, Thymaina, Ikaria, Chios and Psara.
According to the platform trusted by hundreds of thousands of Swiss travellers every month, “Samos is considered the greenest island in Greece. It is dotted with many springs and beautiful water oases.
Samos is a paradise for nature lovers and those who dream of exotic beaches. Whether it is a tour of villages, historical monuments, mountainous landscapes and wineries or a boat trip in beautiful bays, Samos creates unforgettable memories while one needs to stay more than a week to explore the whole island.”
It is noted that the Municipalities of Eastern and Western Samos have begun a systematic effort to contact international media, EOT Offices and tourist agencies to highlight known and unknown aspects of the destination in markets such as Greece, Scandinavia, Italy, German-speaking countries and elsewhere.
“We enrich our narrative with unique experiential experiences. The changing natural landscapes, the gastronomy, the activities and the inseparable connection with antiquity shape a reality that the modern tourist seeks,” said the Vice Mayor of West Samos Tourism, Vangelis Marnezos.
“Our aim is not only to open new markets but also to inspire travellers to visit us again and again due to the diversity of experiences and emotions that the destination creates,” he added.
“Samos has the advantage of being able to differentiate itself on the international and domestic tourist map. It is a multidimensional place that offers a range of alternative activities and trips to nature, history, and the world of flavours. We are promoting this exact combination in many markets abroad and in Greece, knowing a warm response,” said the Mayor of Eastern Samos, Paris Papageorgiou.
