The leader of the gang, a "delivery man" and the DJ were all arrested by the police.
A well-known DJ was among the members of a criminal organisation that trafficked all kinds of drugs in Mykonos, Proto Thema reported. The leader of the gang was a 40-year-old man from Poland.
The gang provided various services, such as a drug menu with prices listed and quick delivery.
The role of the DJ was also important. Due to DJing, she had an alibi for her extended stay on the island and sometimes acted as an escort to the "delivery man" until the final meeting with the buyer so that they did not raise suspicions.
The meetings were held in crowded places, outside outdoor shops in the coastal areas of Mykonos and in other crowded places near the Chora.
The group had a black plastic box with a lid that resembled a car part and fitted improvised magnets inside so that it stuck firmly to metal objects to reduce the chances of the drugs being detected.
Finally, the Mykonos Police Sub-Directorate, in collaboration with the Special Actions Unit of the Attica Security Directorate, dismantled the gang, and three people were arrested: the leader, the delivery man, and the DJ.
In total, from the searches carried out, - among others things - police found:
- a vehicle which the main member of the gang used to traffic the drugs,
- 65,880 euros,
- 17,166 US dollars,
- 240 British pounds,
- 43.22 grams of cocaine,
- 8.61 grams of methamphetamine,
- 212 grams synthetic drug,
- a number of ecstasy pills of various colours and
- a number of plastic capsules of the narcotic substance MDMA.
