ATHENS – Maira Myrogianni has expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for her appointment as Secretary General for Public Diplomacy and Greeks Abroad.
In a recent social media post, Myrogianni looked back on her tenure as Secretary General for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She emphasized her efforts in fostering economic partnerships and promoting collaborations across sectors to strengthen Greece’s global position.
Reflecting on her new role, Myrogianni stated, “It is an honor to serve the Greek Diaspora and advance our country’s public diplomacy through culture, language, communication, education, history, and international cooperation. The support of Greeks abroad, who are our nation’s finest ambassadors in their communities, will be invaluable.” She affirmed her commitment to applying the same level of dedication to her new position.
Myrogianni also conveyed her heartfelt thanks to Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis and Deputy Ministers Kostas Fragkogiannis and Giorgos Kotsiras. She wished success to Dimitris Skalkos in his new role as Secretary General for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
