Bronze Medal for Fitsiou and Kontou in the Lightweight Women's Double Sculls

The two Greek rowers delivered a mythical final sprint in the lightweight women's double sculls final to secure the second medal for Greek rowing in these Olympic Games.

Shortly after Antonios Papakonstantinou and Petros Gkaidatzis won the bronze medal in the men's lightweight double sculls, Zoe Fitsiou and Milena Kontou also claimed bronze in the women's event at the Paris Olympics.

In their first Olympic Games appearance, they earned Greece their fourth medal in Paris and the sixth Olympic medal in Greek rowing history
