Armand "Mondo" Duplantis has secured his second Olympic gold medal in a spectacular men's pole vault final at the Stade de France in Paris on Monday, August 5, 2024.
The world record holder cleared a height of 6.10 meters, having previously vaulted 6.00 meters, to clinch the highly anticipated Olympic title. American Sam Kendricks took home the silver medal with a jump of 5.95 meters, while Greece's Emmanouil Karalis earned bronze with a height of 5.90 meters.
Duplantis' triumph maintains his remarkable dominance at major international outdoor competitions, having won gold at the past three World Championships and, following this victory, the last two Olympic Games.
