For the first time in nine years, Greek taxpayers have filed their income tax returns within the deadline, according to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE).
On Monday, AADE announced that 6,543,853 individuals submitted their income tax declarations between April 25 and August 2, the extended deadline. This marks the highest number of on-time filings in nearly a decade, averaging 65,439 declarations per day.
AADE highlighted that this achievement reflects the prompt response of both citizens and tax preparers in meeting their obligations within the shortest period in recent history.
