How Crete got its 1st InterContinental Hotel

InterContinental Hotel Agios Nikolaos Crete

The first hotel with the InterContinental brand in Greece's largest island is ten levels high and covers an area of 15,000 sq.m. It has 199 rooms, most with a private pool and unobstructed views of Mirabello Bay.

The construction of the first hotel under the InterContinental brand in Crete, led by Mr Vassilis Vlaseros, means VITAEL has a stronger presence in hotel projects.

Hines and Henderson Park own the InterContinental in Agios Nikolaos, Lasithi. For over 13 months, the old hotel unit was transformed into a 5-star hotel. The hotel extends over ten levels on an area of 15,000 sq.m. and has 199 rooms, including 21 suites.

Most have a private pool and unobstructed views of the Mirabello Bay.

VITAEL has collaborated with the duo of Hines and Henderson Park in the expansion of the "Grand Hyatt Athens" by L. Syngrou.

VITAEL's portfolio also includes other important hotel projects, such as "Domotel Kastri," "Dusit Suites Athens" of the well-known international chain Dusit Hotels & Resorts, and "Moxy Athens City" in Omonia.
