Four Israelis were apprehended in Greece on Tuesday, suspected of smuggling drugs from Europe to Israel by sea, as reported by the Israel Police.
During the operation, authorities seized approximately 150 kilograms of cocaine, according to Hebrew media sources.
The police reported that the four Israelis, all in their 30s and 40s, were taken into custody early on Tuesday alongside four foreign nationals linked to the case.
The suspects are believed to be part of a network that trafficked substantial amounts of drugs from Europe to Israel using yachts.
This investigation was carried out by the Israel Police in collaboration with Greek law enforcement authorities.
In a separate incident, on Monday, the police and the Israel Tax Authority announced they had thwarted three attempts to smuggle drugs into Israel over the weekend at the Wadi Araba Crossing. All suspects involved in these attempts were Israeli citizens.
