Pacific Northwest Premiere of Leon Logothetis’s “The Kindness Within” Set for OMSI

The Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology (PFCAT) will present the Pacific Northwest premiere of Leon Logothetis’s latest documentary, 'The Kindness Within: A Journey to Freedom'.

The screening is scheduled for August 24 at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI).

Logothetis, known as “The Kindness Guy” and the host of the popular Netflix and Discovery+ series 'The Kindness Diaries', explores themes of spirituality and humanitarianism in this new film. 'The Kindness Within' features a journey across the globe, including meditations with Buddhist monks, spiritual practices along the Ganges, and working alongside “living saints” in humanitarian efforts.

Commenting on the festival inclusion, Logothetis said, “It is such an honour to be included in this year’s festival. My hope is that 'The Kindness Within' can offer hope and a counterbalance to the negativity we see in the world today.”

The film’s production team includes Erick Torres as producer and Dimiter Yordanov as composer, with direction by Steven Priovolos, known for his work with major clients like Warner Brothers and National Geographic. Executive Producer Chris Philip highlighted the film's impact, stating, “This film has helped so many people with its message. I’m proud to be part of Leon’s passionate and impactful journey.”

The Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation and Technology, formerly known as The International Festival of Cinema and Technology, showcases a diverse range of films from around the world.
