A total of 52 migrants were rescued by the Coast Guard early Wednesday morning in the sea region of Kali Limenes, Crete.
The group, which includes individuals from Sudan and Egypt, had been stranded in a dinghy and called for assistance using the emergency number 112.
Upon receiving the distress call, a Coast Guard vessel promptly reached the location, rescued the migrants, and brought them to Kali Limenes. The migrants are set to be transferred to Heraklion for further processing and assistance.
