Germany has issued a European arrest warrant for a Ukrainian diving instructor suspected of being involved in the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipelines.

Investigators in Germany allege that the individual, who was last reported to be residing in Poland, participated as a diver in placing explosive devices on the pipelines connecting Russia and Germany beneath the Baltic Sea in September 2022.

The German prosecutor general’s office has refrained from commenting on the matter. Reports indicate that Germany requested Poland to detain the man back in June.
