The fires, which began on Sunday, led to extensive damage across several suburbs and towns, including Vrilissia, Dionyssos, Marathon, Pallini, Penteli, Rafina-Pikermi, Chalandri, and Oropos.
By Wednesday afternoon, inspectors had examined 130 buildings, including 112 homes, 13 storage spaces, 2 public buildings, and 3 commercial properties. Among the 78 homes affected, 34 were severely damaged and will need to be demolished, while 44 require major repairs to become habitable again. Including home-linked spaces like storage rooms, 92 private properties were assessed in total.
Inspections will continue throughout the week, with additional assessments of businesses in the region, where 22 have already been reported damaged by the fires.
