The Greek Air Force will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the F-4 Phantom II's service on August 28, with the 117 Combat Wing's base in Andravida to host a special event.
The celebration will begin at 5:30 PM with a doxology and memorial service, followed by the reading of the daily order. Attendees will then have the opportunity to view a projection of audiovisual material at the 338 Squadron's premises.
A static display of F-4 aircraft will be on show, and the squadron will perform a flypast in formation. For those interested in experiencing the thrill of flying an F-4, F-4 simulators will be available.
This event promises to be a fitting tribute to the F-4 Phantom II, which has played a crucial role in the Greek Air Force's history.
