It was an unprecedented July for motorcycle sales, which are soaring.
July may be a month when everyone’s mind is on their upcoming vacation in August, but motorcycle sales continued at an unprecedented rate.
In the seventh month of the year, total sales of two-wheelers reached 10,750, an increase of 33.37% compared to the corresponding month last year, News Moto reported. July was the best month of the whole year, surpassing even June’s incredible 9,314 units.
In the individual figures, Yamaha took first place in the motorcycle sector with a share of 18.96%, leaving Honda in second place. Voge followed in third place, while Suzuki, BMW Motorrad, and Triumph were in the top ten.
Yamaha’s top-selling model was the Tracer 9, followed by the Tracer 700.
In scooters, SYM once again led the way, occupying first place with a share of 26.57%. Honda was in second place, while Piaggio and Yamaha followed. The top-selling scooter was the Symphony ST 200 again, with the Jet X 125 way ahead.
Total sales in the first seven months of 2024 are trending towards another record year. We are already up 18.72% in total sales, with 49,512 registrations already recorded.
