Greece and Türkiye Announce Hackathon 2024 to Foster Innovation and Cooperation

In a significant move aimed at strengthening ties between Greece and Türkiye, the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs from both nations announced the Greece-Türkiye Hackathon 2024 on Monday.

This collaborative event is set to highlight and promote innovation and cooperation between the two countries.

Costas Fragogiannis of Greece and Mehmet Kemal Bozay of Türkiye unveiled the details of the upcoming hackathon in a joint statement. They emphasised that the event is designed to harness the creative potential of young minds to address societal challenges and drive technological advancements.

The Hackathon, scheduled to take place in 2024, will focus primarily on "Smart Cities." This theme encompasses developing technology-driven solutions to enhance urban living, tackle environmental issues, promote sustainability, and improve safety and emergency response systems.
