Wildfire on Mt Pangeo Burns for Sixth Consecutive Day

The wildfire on Mt Pangeo has entered its sixth consecutive day, with significant efforts underway to control the blaze.

A total of 46 fire engines, manned by a 280-member crew, are actively engaged in fighting the fire, supported by 25 firefighters on foot, five water-dropping helicopters, and a firefighting aircraft.

Although the wildfire is currently not threatening inhabited areas, fire zones have been established around the settlements near Mt. Pangeo as a precautionary measure. The fire, which ignited on Thursday, has already consumed hundreds of acres of forest and scrubland. Firefighters continue to work tirelessly to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.
