According to tennis24.gr, the Tsitsipas family has decided to take the necessary legal action against the recent statements made by former physiotherapist Jérôme Bianchi.
In an exclusive interview with the French newspaper "L'Equipe", Bianchi, who worked with the Tsitsipas family from 2018 to 2022, revealed details about the alleged climate within the family, particularly between Apostolos and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Tennis24 contacted the authorized lawyer of the Tsitsipas family, Mr. Thanasis Papathanasiou, who stated: "Regarding the republishing of the article of the French newspaper 'L'Equipe' containing statements by the former physiotherapist of Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jerome Bianchi, with whom the collaboration ended in 2022, we would like to inform you that the Tsitsipas family has instructed the Papathanasiou-Confino law office (Paris) to take the necessary legal actions, so as to restore the prestige and dignity of the family, affected by the statements of the physical therapist in question. You will be informed soon about the development of the case."
In the article, Bianchi made several allegations, including that Apostolos Tsitsipas was "kind, but also exaggerated" and that his constant talking during training sessions made it difficult for other players to concentrate. Bianchi also claimed that Stefanos Tsitsipas felt "trapped" in the close relationship with his father and that it had hindered the development of his career.
The Tsitsipas family has now taken legal action to address these statements and protect their reputation. The case is expected to be closely followed in the tennis community as it unfolds.
