At the closing ceremony of the Paris Paralympic Games, Greek champions Stamatopoulou and Tsapatakis, along with their coaches Michalis Nikopoulou and Chrysafi Vagelakakis, proudly represented the Greek team.

Their impressive performances not only highlighted their remarkable athletic achievements but also embodied the spirit of ethics and dedication. The Greek team was celebrated as one of the finest in Paralympic history, earning widespread admiration and support from the Greek public.

For twelve days, Greeks united in support of their athletes, celebrating their triumphs and sharing in the emotional highs and lows, discovering the exceptional talent within Greek Paralympic sports.

During the closing ceremony, Paris 2024 President Tony Estanget reflected on what he called “a historic summer,” noting that the Games’ memory would remain etched in minds. He emphasized that this summer was a time of joyous connection and historical significance for France.

The ceremony featured a tribute to Johnny Hallyday, with a symphonic rendition of his song “Living for the Best,” performed by rising star Santa. The rock anthem echoed through the Stade de France, followed by a performance of “Que je t’aime” in honour of the 45,000 volunteers who supported the Games. This song had previously accompanied the French delegation during the Opening Ceremony on August 28 at Place de la Concorde.
