Aryna Sabalenka, fresh off her US Open victory, is publicly celebrating her relationship with Greek entrepreneur George Fragulis. The couple, who initially connected through a business deal, have been dating since May and frequently share glimpses into their romance on social media.
Just two days ago, Aryna Sabalenka won the US Open for the first time in her career, completing the trifecta of Grand Slam victories. She had already triumphed at the Australian Open in 2023 and 2024.
The 26-year-old Belarusian, who lost her father to a heart attack at a young age and experienced the loss of her former partner to suicide in Miami in 2024, has turned a new page in her personal life in recent months and is happy alongside her Greek partner.
Her partner is George Fragulis, a Greek entrepreneur born and raised in Brazil. In 2016, he founded Oakberry, a company that provides fast but healthy food based on acai, a type of berry that grows in the Amazon and is considered a superfood. Today, Oakberry has more than 500 stores worldwide and has been operating in Greece since 2022.
Fragulis initially began a professional collaboration with the world No. 2, and since last May, their relationship has blossomed into romance. The two have much in common, complement each other, and now openly speak about their love.
In the summer of 2024, Sabalenka enjoyed a short vacation in Greece with her partner, where she sampled gyros and other local delicacies. They also spent a lot of time with Paula Badosa, her close friend, and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
[Instagram Post]After her US Open triumph, Sabalenka posted photos with Fragulis, including one where they are kissing to celebrate her success. In fact, today is Fragulis' birthday, and she uploaded more photos together, writing, "Happy birthday, meu amor, I am so lucky to have you by my side. Your support is invaluable."
At the Cincinnati Open, which she also won, she spoke publicly on the court about him, later noting, "First we signed a contract, then we got to know each other, and somehow we ended up being together."
Sabalenka is even the central figure in the advertising campaigns for her partner's company.
