Bank of Cyprus Shareholders Approve Listing on Athens Stock Exchange

Shareholders of the Bank of Cyprus have approved the bank’s plan to pursue a listing on the Athens Stock Exchange, pending approval from Greek authorities.

The decision was announced on Friday, with the Athens bourse expected to make its ruling on the listing request by September 17.

As part of this move, the bank also plans to delist from the London Stock Exchange, where it has been listed since 2017. The delisting is set to take effect on September 19 at 8:00 a.m. UK time (0700 GMT).

The bank believes switching to the Athens Stock Exchange will enhance its visibility in a market more aligned with its business operations.
