Singer Kostas Karousakis passed away today, Sunday (15/9), at the age of 81.
The news was announced by his daughter and singer, Eleni Karousaki, in a post on her personal Facebook account.
“Have a good paradise, father. FIGHTER until the end! I LOVE YOU…” she writes, accompanying her post with a photo of them together.
As Eleni Karousaki announced via Facebook, his funeral will take place next Tuesday (17/9) at 12:00 at the Holy Church of Peter and Paul in the Cemetery of Palaio Faliro.
Kostas Karousakis was born on December 25, 1943, in Chios. He was a Greek folk singer, lyricist, composer and former businessman.
He started singing at the age of 14, while in 1958 he moved to Athens.
His first album was released in 1974 and his last in 2019, while he released a total of 26 albums.
