Speaking in an interview with ANT1 TV, Georgiadis emphasized that an anti-fraud system has already been implemented at EOPYY. This system uses a specific algorithm to flag suspicious prescription behaviour for immediate investigation.
The announcement follows the recent dismantling of two criminal organisations by the Financial Police Directorate, both involved in large-scale prescription fraud that defrauded EOPYY. The government is intensifying efforts to crack down on fraudulent medical practices that burden the healthcare system.
