A man from Iran has been living in Greece in recent years but was exposed as a fake refugee after the release of an Interpol International Red Notice for homicide.
The man was located and arrested on Monday by police officers in Athens after a request for criminal prosecution and extradition to his country of origin with the charge of murder, Proto Thema reported.
After his arrest, the 32-year-old was taken to Korydallos prison, where he will remain until his extradition procedures are completed.
