Larissa, Greece's Coffee Capital

Larissa, the fourth largest city in Greece, is situated in Thessaly, nestled between Athens and Thessaloniki. While it may not be a major tourist destination, its vibrant energy and trendy cafe culture distinguish it.

Larissa, Greece's Coffee Capital

Here, locals enjoy coffee throughout the day, from morning to evening. It's common for many to have three cups a day, whether it's a Freddo Cappuccino, a traditional Greek coffee, or any of the international styles now offered by a range of new cafes, including Latte, Espresso, Macchiato, Ristretto, Piccolo, and more.

In the central mainland, particularly among university students due to the large campus, residents often grab their coffee to go. Alternatively, you might find many seated, savouring their caffeine fix while mingling with friends between classes.

Larissa has always been known as Greece's "coffee city." However, recent research has confirmed that the people of Larissa are the number one coffee drinkers in Greece.
