Logos / Λογότυπα showcases the work of 40 Greek Australian artists, offering a glimpse into the vibrant cultural heritage and artistic legacy of the Greek people. The exhibition features a diverse range of artworks spanning early, mid-career, and established artists and explores Greek culture and identity in Australian art from the 1960s to the 2020s.
Hazelhurst Arts Centre Director Sebastian Goldspink, expressed his enthusiasm for the exhibition, stating, "Logos / Λογότυπα represents a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the diversity and strength of our Sutherland Shire community." The exhibition is presented in collaboration with Saint Stylianos Greek Orthodox Parish, a neighbouring institution.
Curator Kon Gouriotis emphasized the resilience of the Greek spirit embodied by the artists featured in the exhibition. "All the artists in Logos / Λογότυπα embody the enduring strength of the Hellenic spirit," Gouriotis said.
The exhibition includes works by renowned artists such as Effy Alexakis, Vas Andonakis, Emmanuel Angelicas, and John Aslanidis.
