€1.5 Million Heist: Armed Robbery of Cash Van in Attica

In a brazen robbery on Thursday, a cash van in Lavrio, southeastern Attica, was held up at gunpoint, with the thieves escaping with up to €1.5 million.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. outside a busy toy store. Four masked and armed men, dressed in white overalls and surgical masks, approached the van. Armed with a Kalashnikov, they threatened the driver and reportedly placed an explosive device on the windshield.

The robbers disabled the van by slashing its tyres and covering it in paint. They then seized 15 bags of cash before fleeing the scene.

Police are investigating the incident and have launched a manhunt to locate the suspects.
