This basic white bread recipe is as simple as it is delicious. However, if you have creative concerns, you can add ingredients you like (e.g., sesame seeds at the end) and experiment.

Materials:

500g all-purpose flour
20g fresh yeast
1 tsp. salt
300ml lukewarm water

Procedure

Step 1

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and set aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl, pour the flour, salt and mix well. Add the water with the yeast and knead with your hands until you have an elastic dough.

Step 3

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the dough rest for 1-2 hours.

Step 4

Remove the dough from the bowl and knead again on a floured counter, folding the edges inward.

Step 5

Form the dough into a ball and place it on parchment paper. Transfer it together with the parchment paper back to the bowl, cut off the protruding edges of the parchment paper, cover the bowl with cling film and let the dough rest for another 30 minutes.

Step 6

Preheat the oven to 230°C, with an enamel pot inside. Remove the film from the bowl and use a knife to score some lines on the surface of the dough. Transfer the dough with the parchment paper to the enamel pot, close with the lid and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
