Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of Greece met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit held in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The two leaders discussed key issues related to Ukraine’s ongoing conflict and the country’s future prospects.
Mitsotakis reaffirmed Greece’s unwavering support for Ukraine amid the challenges it faces due to the Russian invasion. Their discussions focused on the latest developments in the war, as well as Greece’s commitment to helping Ukraine through reconstruction efforts and bolstering its long-term security.
A central topic was the progress of talks regarding a bilateral agreement aimed at providing comprehensive support to Ukraine. This agreement would follow the model of similar accords Ukraine has signed with 19 other EU member states, encompassing areas such as rebuilding the country and supporting its potential EU membership bid.
