Chicken wings and basmati rice

Chicken wings and basmati rice

Marinate the chicken wings and accompany them with fragrant basmati rice after grilling them.

Materials for four servings:

For the chicken wings

1 kilo of chicken wings
Four tsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. of honey
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely grated
2 cloves garlic, mashed
1 lime, juice and zest

For serving and accompanying

some sesame seeds
some lime zest
fresh coriander leaves
black pepper
500 gr. basmati rice
a little sesame oil

Procedure

Step 1

Chicken wings: Put the wings in a bowl and marinate them with all the marinade ingredients. Transfer them to the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.

Step 2

Then, remove them from the marinade, wipe them dry with kitchen paper, and grill them over charcoal on medium to high heat for about 20 minutes. Alternatively, bake them on a hot griddle for about the same time.

Step 3

Place them on a plate, sprinkle with a little sesame, a little lime zest, and a few leaves of fresh coriander, and serve.

Step 4

Accompany the chicken wings with basmati rice: Rinse the rice in running water for 2-3 minutes to remove the starch, and then boil it in double the volume of water for about 10 minutes.

Step 5

Remove from the heat and leave it covered with a towel to rise. Serve sprinkled with a few drops of sesame oil.
