Hellenic Post Honors Greek Diaspora with New Stamp Series

The Hellenic Post (ELTA) has unveiled a new stamp series celebrating four distinguished members of the Greek Diaspora, three of whom are prominent figures in the Greek-American community.

The International Foundation for Greece (IFG) selected these individuals to be honored for their significant contributions to promoting Greece internationally.

This year's IFG Awards recipients are:

• Dr. George Miller: Renowned director, screenwriter, and producer.
• Dr. Demetri Porphyrios: Acclaimed architect and urban planner, visiting professor at Yale University, and Archon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
• Michael Psaros: Successful entrepreneur and philanthropist, co-founder and managing partner of KPS Capital Partners LP, and Archon.
• Dean A. Spanos: Owner and chairman of the Los Angeles Chargers (NFL), philanthropist, and entrepreneur.

As part of its commitment to supporting national efforts, the Hellenic Post is issuing stamps that feature these distinguished personalities, each of whom plays a unique role in enhancing Greece's global presence.

The stamps will be officially presented and postmarked with the first day of issue on October 14 at 12:00 PM in the Auditorium “Dimitrios Pantermalis” at the Acropolis Museum. This special event will include a First Day Cover and a complete set pack of the stamp series, which will be available at ELTA branches and online at www.philotelismos.gr.

This initiative not only honors the achievements of these exceptional individuals but also reinforces the enduring connection between Greece and its diaspora.
