A devastating shipwreck occurred in the waters near Psalidi, Kos, this evening, resulting in the tragic loss of four lives, including two infants and two women.

Local reports indicate that approximately 30 people were aboard the migrant boat when it capsized. The Greek Coast Guard immediately launched a rescue operation, successfully saving numerous individuals. However, the incident has left a heartbreaking toll on the community.
The circumstances surrounding the shipwreck are currently under investigation by the relevant authorities. A local pediatrician described the harrowing scene, stating, “I can still see the two dead babies in front of me. An infant was saved, his body was black. I ran to find clothes and a diaper, gave him milk, and he smiled. It was his ‘thank you.'”
