Princess Tatiana of Greece and Denmark has spoken out about her personal struggles in the past year. In a statement released by the Greek royal family, the Princess detailed the emotional toll of her stepson's disappearance in Malibu and the recent separation from her husband, Nikolaos.

The statement described the past year as filled with "great care and mutual respect" as the couple decided to dissolve their 14-year marriage amicably. They emphasized their intention to maintain a strong friendship built on understanding.

However, Princess Tatiana's personal life has been further challenged by the unsolved disappearance of her stepson in Malibu. While details surrounding the disappearance are not publicly available, the statement acknowledges the emotional strain it has caused.

Attilio is the son of Princess Tatiana's former stepfather, Attilio Brillembourg, who was previously married to her mother and accompanied her at her 2010 wedding to Prince Nikolaos of Greece.

The younger Attilio, a financier who lived in New York and is rumoured to have dated Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, Kiera Chaplin, is still missing after he vanished in May.

When his missing persons report was filed, the sheriff's department said 'there is concern' for Attilio's 'well-being'.

Tatiana reflected on the difficult year ahead. She said, 'Life's challenges remind me how important it is to persevere, to have hope and faith in the power of the human spirit.'

Despite the tumultuous year, the former Greek royal highlighted the support she had received from family, from whom she said she had drawn 'immense strength'.

She said she had learned the importance of allowing herself to feel her own emotions and having compassion for herself.

Prince Nikolaos married Venezuelan-born Princess Tatiana, in August 2010. All appeared to be well between the couple with the two continuing to attend events together up until February 2024.

The couple was pictured together in February—just two months before announcing their split—at a Thanksgiving service for Nikolaos' father in Windsor.
