Nicosia, Cyprus - On the afternoon of Friday, January 22nd, the Bank of Cyprus successfully defended against a cyber attack targeting its websites. The attack, identified as a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), began around 6:30 PM local time.
In an official statement, the bank confirmed the attack was designed to disrupt access to its online services. "The attempt was effectively mitigated, and all websites are currently operational," the statement assured.
