Passenger Ferry Ship Grounded near Igoumenitsa

The passenger ferry "Ag. Theodora" has grounded four nautical miles northwest of Igoumenitsa, carrying 550 passengers and 16 crew members. At the scene of the incident are a coast guard vessel and a passenger tourist ship. Additionally, three tugboats, three coast guard vessels, and a private boat are heading to the area. The weather in the area is good.

According to thespro.gr, initial assessments suggest that the grounding might be due to a mechanical failure.
