Strongyli, the easternmost island in the Greek territory and part of the Megisti complex, is poised to receive its first road network.

The Southern Aegean region is honouring its commitment to improve infrastructure on these small yet significant islands. Following the initiation of a port construction project on the nearby islet of Ro, officials have moved forward with plans for a road on Strongyli.

Construction is currently underway and is expected to be completed by the end of November. The project involves building a 3-metre-wide road that will connect the pier to the highest point of Strongyli. The undertaking presents considerable challenges due to the island's rugged terrain and rocky landscape, making this development a significant milestone for the local community.
