Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa, celebrated as the tennis duo 'Tsitsidosa,' recently shared insights into their rekindled relationship and the moment they knew it was love at first sight. Despite meeting in 2020, their romantic journey officially began in 2023. Following a brief split, they swiftly reunited, harmonizing their personal lives with their thriving tennis careers.
Despite initially crossing paths in 2020, it wasn't until mid-2023 that they began dating. After announcing an amicable split earlier this year, it took just three weeks for the couple to rekindle their romance, capturing the attention and admiration of fans worldwide.
Currently ranked 11th and 12th globally, Stefanos and Paula prioritize their tennis careers but stress the importance of making time for one another amidst their busy schedules. In an interview with Hola, conducted with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop ahead of the French Open, they shared the unique aspects of their relationship.
"We share a lot of similarities in our personalities," Paula noted. "Our shared dedication to tennis creates a deep understanding between us. Our past experiences have shaped us into complementary individuals, with him being more introverted and me more extroverted. He often calls us soulmates, and I agree."
Reflecting on their journey, Stefanos said, "We've walked similar paths from the time we picked up rackets as kids. Without tennis, we wouldn't have met, and for that, I'm grateful."
Although they only truly connected in 2023, Paula revealed that Stefanos made the first move in May last year, leading to their public announcement in June. Stefanos warmly recalls his first sighting of Paula at the 2020 Australian Open, describing it as love at first sight.
Despite past challenges, the couple remains committed to balancing their personal and professional lives. Paula stated, "Tennis is our priority now, but we look forward to enjoying our lives together in the future."
