A Pakistani man was arrested last year in Kalymnos for drug trafficking (heroin and methamphetamine), violence and more.
Last week, the Dodecanese Single-Member Court of Appeal found the 44-year-old guilty, recognising the mitigating factor of drug addiction, and imposed a prison sentence of six years and 10 days, with the appeal having no suspensive force.
The Kalymnos Police Department had been tipped off that the Pakistani was trafficking narcotics on the island, Kalymnos News reported.
As part of the investigation, on August 29, 2023, at 6 pm, the police found the foreigner in a rental car, supplying narcotics to the 25-year-old Greek. They found small amounts of heroin and methamphetamine (MDMA) in the driver's door and a suitcase in the trunk.

As the case developed, it emerged that the 44-year-old foreigner had rented a vehicle with a fake driving license and was using it to conduct transactions with other interested users.
The narcotics and the rest of the evidence found were confiscated.
It is noted that the criminal was already in prison when he was sentenced last week.
