Concerts to Celebrate the Season
The SNFCC’s Stavros Niarchos Hall will host two major holiday concerts:
- El Sistema Greece Symphony Orchestra and Youth Choir (Dec. 16): Featuring over 100 young musicians from 30 countries, this cinematic concert will showcase songs from iconic musicals and classic films.
- ERT National Symphony Orchestra (Dec. 23): A classical Christmas program, including Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns and works by Christos Papageorgiou and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
Music Under the Stars and More Festivities
The celebrations extend outdoors with live performances under the Dome’s dazzling lighting installation, organised by the SNFCC Youth Council. Highlights include intimate concerts with rising artists and a Silent Disco Party on Dec. 21, complete with DJs and stunning light effects.
Jazz fans can ring in the New Year with the Storyville Ragtimers on Jan. 6, performing a tribute to Louis Armstrong at the Agora.
Holiday Highlights and Experiences
The festivities run from Dec. 22 to Jan. 7, featuring the Christmas Pop-Up Bar at the SNFCC Lighthouse, where visitors can enjoy DJ sets, seasonal cocktails, and panoramic views of the illuminated Stavros Niarchos Park and Athens skyline.
All events are made possible by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Admission is free, with more information and the full program available on the SNFCC website and its social media platforms (@SNFCC).
