The fake email address, hiddenforsecurity@gmail.com, uses the Archbishop's name and title to mislead recipients.

The Archdiocese became aware of the scam after several reports of misleading messages being sent from the fraudulent account. They urge anyone receiving emails from this address to ignore them and refrain from providing any personal information. Recipients are advised to exercise extreme caution and carefully scrutinize the content of any emails claiming to be from the Archbishop.

"We are taking this matter very seriously," said a spokesperson for the Archdiocese. "We are working to investigate the impersonation and are taking all necessary steps to address this issue."
