PPC Renewables has commenced the construction of three new wind farms in Greece with a combined capacity of approximately 100MW, reinforcing the PPC Group’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio.

The projects, located in Rodopi, Fokida, and Argolida, are slated for completion in the first half of 2026.

Once operational, the wind farms are expected to generate over 280 GWh annually, avoiding more than 142,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year. This development is part of PPC Group's broader strategy to transition toward sustainable energy solutions.

The PPC Group’s renewable energy portfolio currently includes an installed capacity of approximately 5.5GW, with an additional 3.8GW of projects either under construction or ready for development. A major highlight of its renewable projects is the 550MW photovoltaic park in Ptolemaida, built on former lignite mines, which ranks among the largest solar projects in Europe.

Beyond Greece, PPC is expanding its renewable energy footprint in Southeastern Europe. Recent initiatives include the construction of a 140MW wind farm in eastern Romania and the acquisition of Evryo Group’s renewable energy portfolio in Romania, adding 629MW in operation and 145MW under development.

In addition to organic growth, PPC Group has advanced its renewable energy ambitions through strategic partnerships and acquisitions. Notably, it recently partnered with the Copelouzos and Samaras Groups to acquire and jointly develop renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of up to 1.7GW.

PPC Renewables continues to play a key role in the transition to sustainable energy in Greece and the wider region, solidifying its position as a leading renewable energy developer.
