Mitsotakis and Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew Convene in Athens

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis held a meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Athens on Monday.

During their meeting, Prime Minister Mitsotakis remarked, "Your visit, once again, has been exceptionally successful. We hold you in the highest regard, and the Greek people have a deep affection for you. Your presence in our homeland during these challenging times provides us with strength. You embody inspiration, wisdom, and clarity—traits we need now more than ever."

The Ecumenical Patriarch is in Athens attending a conference organized by the theological school of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

In his response, Patriarch Bartholomew expressed gratitude to the prime minister, stating, "I bring with me the love and blessings of the mother church to you personally and to all the devout people of Greece."
