Tasteatlas: Five Greek Egg Dishes Among the World's Best - Which One Stands Out

Tasteatlas has revealed the world's best egg dishes, and once again, Greece features prominently.

The gastronomic guide often shares lists of the world's best foods, such as pasta, meat, salads, the best cuisine (with Greek cuisine taking second place), the best coffee, the best breakfast, and more.

This time, it has shared the best egg dishes and highlighted a Greek dish specifically.

In particular, strapatsada, also known as kagianas, our beloved eggs with tomatoes, was singled out.

Strapatsada is ranked fourth with a score of 4.4.

The description states: "This popular Greek dish, known as strapatsada or kagianas, consists of chopped, sautéed tomatoes seasoned with fresh herbs, then combined with lightly beaten eggs and finished with crumbled feta cheese.

One place higher, in third, we find another Greek dish from Crete, staka with eggs.

In 13th place is froutalia or fourtalia, the Andros omelet made with potatoes and sausage.

In 25th place is the traditional omelet, while in 72nd is sfougato, which is similar to the Italian frittata.
