Foreign national busted with more than 4,000 ecstasy tablets at Athens Airport

A foreign national was arrested on Monday at Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" after being found in possession of a large quantity of narcotics.

According to the Greek police, the suspect is a member of an international criminal group involved in the smuggling of processed cannabis and ecstasy into Greece for further distribution.

The suspect was found with 7.84 kilograms of processed cannabis and approximately 4,770 ecstasy tablets, carefully hidden in various items of clothing and footwear within his luggage.

Additionally, a mobile phone was seized. The arrested individual was brought before the Prosecutor.
