A TUI flight that departed from Egypt en route to Germany was forced to make an emergency landing in Heraklion after an elderly female passenger felt unwell. The pilot requested permission for an emergency landing at Heraklion's "Nikos Kazantzakis" Airport, which was granted. Unfortunately, the woman passed away during the landing. Despite the efforts of doctors and paramedics who rushed to the runway, it was too late to save her.
The 190 passengers on the flight disembarked in Heraklion, where they will be accommodated before flying to their final destination, Germany, on Wednesday morning.
