A 57-year-old livestock farmer tragically lost his life on Saturday as flash floods swept across the Greek island of Limnos in the northern Aegean Sea. Torrential rains, part of a larger storm system impacting central and northern Greece, caused widespread flooding and damage.
The victim was found dead near his car in the Kontias region. Authorities believe he was attempting to move his vehicle from thick mud when he was overtaken by the rapidly rising floodwaters.
