International Conference Greece and India | Bridges of Culture, Science and Entrepreneurship

The Conference is taking place from December 2 to 6, 2024, in the Theological School building of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

“Greece and India: History, Society, Science & Entrepreneurship” is the title of the Second International Conference organised by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, EKPA, Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, the International University of Greece, the Ionian University, and the Indo-Hellenic Research Center (IHRC).

The conference is an important initiative that aims to create bridges of scientific cooperation and cultural exchange between Greece and India.

Both countries, with their deep historical roots and unique cultural heritage, are invited to highlight their common places and invest in areas of common interest.

Scientists, researchers, and students are invited to participate actively, offering their contributions to the discussions.

Critical issues will be examined through five thematic sections during the conference.

The first section focuses on history, culture, and tourism, exploring the contribution of the two countries’ cultural heritage and history to the development of tourism.

The second section concerns international relations, diplomacy and geopolitics, highlighting strategic partnerships and geopolitical perspectives in the Eurasian area.

In the third section, the Conference focuses on IT, technology and innovation, examining the importance of technology in enhancing bilateral cooperation and implementing innovative actions.

The fourth module focuses on agriculture, agrotechnology and the environment, with a particular emphasis on sustainable development and environmental challenges.

Finally, the fifth section addresses entrepreneurship and business, highlighting opportunities for investment and the development of start-ups.
