Tuwaiq 4 Exercise Begins in Saudi Arabia

An international coalition of air forces has converged on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia for the two-week Tuwaiq 4 joint air exercise. Led by the Royal Saudi Air Force, the exercise includes ground troops and air assets from eight countries: the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Jordan, Morocco, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Greece. Bahrain and Egypt are participating as observers.

Exercise Director, Saudi Colonel Pilot Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khanfour, stated that Tuwaiq 4 focuses on enhancing cooperation and interoperability through the exchange of knowledge and best practices in tactical airdrop procedures. The exercise will hone the readiness and combat proficiency of air, technical, and support crews, preparing them for a range of tactical landing scenarios.

Activities include joint operations featuring tactical landings from various altitudes, supported by combat air missions and search and rescue operations. Participants will also engage in lectures and planning sessions covering essential techniques in tactical landing, operational management, leadership, and the evaluation of airdrop operations.
